Wine Tour Hotels in Avignon, The Rhone

There are many hotels in the Rhone region, in and around Avignon, and we can provide accomodation in any of them. However, for our Rhone Wine Tasting Weekends, we are offering a choice of 2 grades of accommodation in 2 hotels:

The Mercure Pont d'Avignon and
The Cloitre Saint Louis.

Superior Grade - Mercure Pont D’Avignon

The 3* hotel is situated within the peaceful, old area of Avignon, which allows easy access to the amenities of the city. It is close to the Palace des Papes and the Pont D’Avignon. The hotel is welcoming and friendly. For those who wish to relax after a hard days sightseeing or wine tasting, the hotel has a small bar and a private garden where you can unwind. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with all the usual amenities.

Luxury Grade - Cloitre Saint Louis

This 4* hotel is ideal for a relaxing and calm break. The hotel itself was originally the cloisters within the old city and many of the original features remain, including the old stone courtyards. There is a sun terrace with a swimming pool. As well as the old cloister buildings, there is a modern wing which has been designed to fit in with the rest of the buildings. There is a restaurant at the hotel and in fine weather you can dine alfresco within the gardens.

The hotel is situated within the old walled city and is just a few minutes walk away from the Place de Horloge and the Palace des Papes.
