The Grand Hôtel Français is an elegant 18th Century 3* hotel, which combines modern decoration with original period features, such as the reception’s mosaic floors and marble staircase. The Hotel provides a superb atmosphere for relaxation after all the hard wine tasting and sightseeing that Grape Escapes can arrange for you. The multi-lingual and extremely well-mannered staff are very presentable and always willing to help.
The Grand Hôtel Français is perfectly located in the city centre, within the ‘Golden Triangle’. The well appointed tram system makes travel around the city very easy, and with the tourist office a few minutes walk away guests could never find themselves short of something to do.
Upon stepping into the grand entrance hall, you will instantly feel like a guest in a stately home. There is most certainly an atmosphere of opulence that surrounds the interior of the hotel and the traditionally decorated lounge is a particularly beautiful room, with high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers.
The Standard and Comfort rooms provide all of the usual amenities offered in a modern 3* hotel including en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, flat-screen TV and direct dial telephone. The first floor has been recently renovated in a modern art-deco style; however the three other floors have retained their traditional features.
In addition to the Standard and Comfort rooms, the hotel offers larger Superior rooms, with a separate living area to relax and unwind. As with the rest of the hotel, all bedrooms are air-conditioned.
