This four day / three night break has been designed to give you the best experience of the renowned Provençal art de vivre. Combining delicious Mediterranean cuisine, prepared with fresh and savoury products with refreshing and aromatic wines, our Bandol and Gastronomy package is a heaven for the palate.
Upon arrival at the charming Hostellerie Bérard, check into your preferred room grade and enjoy the stunning views from your window. The remainder of the day will be free for you to unwind and explore your lovely surroundings independently. In the evening, a delicious four course dinner will be served in the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant. Drinks have not been included as part of this package but can be ordered and paid for locally on the day.
On the morning of day two, we will arrange for you to be transferred to the 19th Century Provençal Bastide des Saveurs where an entertaining cookery class will take place led by Michelin-starred Chef René Bérard. Here, you will learn all about the Provençal and Mediterranean gastronomy. At the end of the class, you will be able to taste your delicious dish on the terrace or in the traditional dining room of the Bastide. The remainder of the day will be spent enjoying a spa afternoon. The package includes spa access as well as one hour spa treatment. Let yourself be pampered! The evening will be free for you to do as you please.
On day three, you will be met at the hotel by a private chauffeured vehicle, which will accompany you throughout the day for a tour of the Bandol and Cassis appellations. You will firstly be taken to the Cassis appellation for a tour and tastings at a premium local domaine. Here, you will learn about the Cassis AOC and the specificities of the local wines. After such an enlightening morning, you will be given some free time for lunch in the picturesque port. In the afternoon, you will be taken to two different wineries in Bandol and its surroundings. Here, you will learn everything about the wine growing history of the region, its AOC as well as the wine-making process. You will visit the wine-making facilities of the estates and your tour will conclude with tastings of their aromatic rosé wines. You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
