Travel Option
Our prices are based on two people taking one car on a Folkestone to Calais Eurotunnel crossing. The driving time from Calais to Dijon is approximately five hours. If you do not wish to take the Eurotunnel, there are a number of other options.
These supplements / reductions are per person based on two people travelling together:
- Ferry crossing from Dover to Calais. This is a quick way to cross the Channel – drive your car onto the train and reach Calais in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Reductions for this service start at £5 per person.
- Other ferry crossings — If you would like to travel from other UK ports, we can arrange this. Please enquire for further details.
- Fly to Paris (numerous operators) and get the TGV to Dijon. There will be no supplement for substituting your TGV for your ferry crossing if booked over 90 days in advance of departure. You will need to book your own flight.
- Travel by Eurostar and TGV (high speed train). Dijon is around 90 minutes from Paris by train. There will be a supplement starting at £119 per person — the train prices increase as departure date nears so early booking is recommended. Best prices are obtained if tickets are booked 4 months in advance of departure.
- Fly to Lyon and hire a car. Your journey from Lyon will be two hours to Dijon. You will need to book your own flight and can deduct £39 per person from the Grape Escapes Premium Tour holiday price. If you need a hire car from Lyon airport then we can arrange a hire car for you. Please use our car hire engine for a quotation on your preferred grade of car.
- DIY - For customers wishing to make their own travel arrangements or who are coming from elsewhere in Europe, there will be a reduction of £39 per person from the Grape Escapes tour price.
