The Médoc and St Emilion Wine Tasting Tour
For those of you who wish to discover the best wines of both the Left and Right Banks, this tour is ideal for you. You will be able to compare both the Médoc and Saint Emilion by visiting three Châteaux in each region and tasting a wide range of wines. The highlight of the tour for most guests will be your VIP visit as guests of one of the First Growth estates. The fine dining, knowledgeable guide and visits to fascinating Châteaux are combined to make the Médoc and St Emilion trip an enriching and memorable experience.

Friday - The Médoc
First Growth Château
The tour on Friday will travel along the “Route des Châteaux” past a string of very famous producers (including Margaux, Beychevelle, Léoville Barton, and Langua Barton). The first stop will be a visit to one of the First Growth Châteaux (usually Mouton Rothschild, Lafite Rothschild or Latour) for a truly memorable experience including a tasting of their superlative wine.
Lunch
Following this visit, the tour will pause for a three course lunch with wines in a premium local restaurant, that is partnered with one of the Pauillac Cru Classé Châteaux, accompanied by a selection of wines from the region.
Cru Classé Vineyard
After lunch, the day will continue at another Cru Classé vineyard where you will discover the grandeur of this famous estate and learn about the intricacies of making a Cru Classé wine before tasting several examples.
Haut Médoc Winery
The final visit of the day will be to a third village in the Haut Médoc to a highly regarded winery (often another Cru Classé estate) where guests will sample wines in a different style to those tasted earlier in the day.
Saturday - St Emilion
Premier Grand Cru Classé Estate
In contrast to the grand estates of the Médoc, the average vineyard in the right bank appellation of St Emilion is five times smaller. The Saturday tour will commence, with a visit to one of the best St Emilion Châteaux - a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate. You get to see what goes into the production of the finest wines, ending up with a tasting of one of the best wines in the region.
Lunch
After this visit, lunch will be served in a premium restaurant in the UNESCO town of St Emilion. It will be a four course gourmet lunch, washed down with some premium wines from the area.
St Emilion Satellite Appellation Producer
After lunch, the day will continue with a short stop in the well preserved medieval town of St Emilion, followed by a stop as the guests of one of the best producers in one of the satellite appellations surrounding St Emilion. The visit here will provide the opportunity to sample yet another style of wines from a slightly different terroir.
Grand Cru Classé Producer
The day will end at one of the Grand Cru Classé producers in the heart of the appellation. This visit will start in the vineyards where guests will have fine views across the area before heading underground into the very extensive cellar complex at this estate, finishing with a tasting.
